The 2020 Crop Production Show provided a great venue to give several key sectors of the agriculture industry the first look at our 300 Series sampling system. The response from growers, grain analytics labs, buyers, and processors was overwhelmingly positive, that more accurate, representative grain sampling would provide significant economic benefits.

The product debut at the show included launch event hosted by Dr. Grant Devine, with a product introduction by VeriGrain CEO Ken Jackson and an overview of the recently signed MOU with the U of S by Terry Fonstad, Associated Dean of Engineering.

“We are very excited to show our new sampling system. The industry is ready for a better sampling solution than a scoop on a stick,” said Ken Jackson. “The demand for this solution has been growing and we are looking forward, after over ten years of research and development, to shipping production this year.”

Due to the enthusiastic reception we had at Crop Production, we are extending a $1000 discount to pre-order units through the month of January.

Yesterday, VeriGrain, a division of Intelliconn, and the University of Saskatchewan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on research to develop the technology required to accurately sample and digitize grain in real-time. This cooperative effort will contribute to the development of the VeriGrain product, an entry-level model of which is being launched in 2020. The research being done by the U of S will be incorporated into advanced product capabilities to be added in the future.

“This is a great opportunity for the University to support the agriculture sector” said Terry Fonstad, Associated Dean of Engineering, who was instrumental in architecting the MOU. Grant Devine, former Premiere of Saskatchewan and member of the University Board of Governors commented added, “This research will have substantial value for the whole food-chain and include interaction with multiple colleges and disciplines across the U of S”.

Ken Jackson, CEO of VeriGrain/Intelliconn said, ”We are solving a fundamental problem that will greatly enhance utilization grains and allow farmers to realize maximum value for their production."

The event was held at the College of Engineering and attended by department heads from several colleges.

A large media event will be held during the Crop Production Show in January 2020.
